Apparently, I was the most loved first lady of our country. They say that I gained my fame for my belief in equal civil rights for all people. Many times, I invited African Americans over to my home to perform, to talk about their rights, or just to eat dinner.
I also founded the National Youth Association, which helps school students to fully develop the potential for their future.
During World War Two, I visited soldiers all around the world to show them my appreciation toward what they do, fighting for their country.
I was so involved with human rights, that President Truman decided that I would be a great Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of the United Nations. There, I was able to show others what it would take to make sure everybody had their natural rights.
If only I could be living in the world today. I would feel so good about what I helped accomplish. There is a lot less discrimination, and no more segregation. All races are treated the same, and most people respect that.
